Origin: Gluteal surface of the ilium (the posterior gluteal line above, and the anterior gluteal line below)

مبدا:سطح گلوتئال ایلیوم (بین خط گلوتئال فوقانی در بالا و خط گلوتئال قدامی در پایین)

Insertion: Lateral surface of the greater trochanter

انتها: سطح خارجی تروکانتر بزرگ

Innervation: Superior gluteal nerve

عصب دهی: عصب گلوتئال فوقانی

Function: Abducts and medially rotates of hip and thigh. During locomotion, it secures the pelvis, preventing pelvic drop of the opposite limb

عملکرد: ابدوکسیون و چرخش به داخل لگن و ران. حفاظت از لگن و جلوگیری از افتادن لگن در حین راه رفتن به سمت مقابل
